  • At Nerstrand Big Woods State Park.  Probably the best known, most visited hidden falls in the country.  But when I am there I try to capture its mood of the hour anyway.

  • This unusual Hepatica is a bicolor mix. They come in several colors, most often blue or white. This clump has a mixture of color, plus more sepals. - 8 and  9, instead of the usual 6.  They were a real eye-catcher.. At Sakatah Lake State Park.

  • Bloodroot are as common as dirt, but they only last for a day after they fully open. It is fun to catch a nicely arranged group like this.

  • Carly State Park near Plainview, MN is well known for its bluebells. In early May the ground is covered with them.
