Occasionally I revisit pictures to see if my opinion has changed over time. On this March morning the rocks of Stoney Point were coated in glare ice. I used a 5 minute exposure to reveal movement in the sky and soften the water.
I imagined a view of primordial earth when I took the picture, but in color I felt it missed the mark. I decided to convert it to monochrome. With the color stripped away, I think it better expresses my imaginings of a place in which life has not yet begun. At Stoney Point on Lake Superior.
