Piercing the Storm

On November 10th, the Split Rock Lighthouse beacon is lit to commemorate the 1975 sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald and the loss of its crew of 29 men. On this night, a November snowstorm was in progress. Icy shards of snow scattered the light as it attempted to blast through the air.
