Remembering the Edmund Fitzgerald

Every year on November 10, lighthouses around the Great Lakes are lit to memorialize the 29 men lost when the Edmund Fitzgerald sank in 1975. At the Split Rock Lighthouse Historical Site the names of the dead are read and a bell is tolled, then the lighthouse beacon is lit. I camped out in Split Rock Lighthouse State Park, where I was able to capture this view just a few feet from my campsite.
