Ice at Minnehaha can appear multi-colored. While the ice from the flow of Minnehaha Creek over the fall is more uniform. Ice that comes from seepage through the sandstone layers on either side of the fall can be colored by minerals and plant materials that stain the water. The result is a delightful array like this..
